DATE NIGHT FUN â—½ MARRIAGE

Have you heard of the ABC date list?  There are so many available on line, if you look it up.  It’s basically a list from A to Z of all sorts of ideas for date nights…a list to draw from…when you can’t think of what to do.  I love it!  Of course, I love lists.  We recently spent a weekend doing something that started with A B and C – and it was the best fun!  I’ll share the list with you.  We can’t wait for the next time we have a free weekend for D, E or F – or maybe all three!

A – We bought Asian takeout and headed home to watch How to Steal a Dog – a delightful Asian film.  This was a great date night on a Saturday night when we were tired from the day.

Other ideas could be an Appetizer Crawl where you stop for appetizers at three different places, with friends…or an Afternoon Tea!  Sit near an Airport and watch the planes come and go.  And soon, Apple Picking might be the thing to do.

B – We opted for treats from a bakery, as we don’t frequent bakeries very often.    We had cookies at one, and savory treats at another. And bakeries all so cute inside, so we stayed there and enjoyed.  We also stopped at a Bookstore and wandered and read, and picked up a few new reads.

Other ideas could be a stroll through a Botanical Garden, or to sit in the Backyard with drinks…by the fire pit…or not.  If you live near the Beach, head there for date night with snacks in tow.  Or get tickets to see a show on Broadway.

C – Chocolate came to mind, so we found a chocolate store and bought lots of dark chocolate treats.  Of course, Coffee came to mind as well, so we tried a brand new coffee shop.  It was fun picking out the treats for later, and sipping warm drinks inside a new shop - there’s so much fun people watching there!

Other ideas could be checking out the food at a corner Café, or trying out some new Chips and salsa, as an appetizer before a meal at home.  What about a Cheese board?  That would be fun to shop for and put together!  Invite another couple to join! Concerts are great for movie dates, too. Check your local listings.  Or tour a Cave!

See how easy it is?  Make your own list, peruse the internet for ideas, and work from that list over and over again.  You’ll never be stuck at home with nothing to do.
