TRIED & TRUE â—½ TIPS
TIPS - may 2024 - tried and true - picnic.jpg

One way I remember what I’ve been learning and take note of it, is by looking at all of my photos over the past month, as I delete those I no longer need.  Each photo reminds me of something I saw or learned or enjoyed, so then I share the tidbits with you.  It’s fun trivia that is sometimes worth knowing!

Going on a picnic?  Take a big blanket, a couple of small pillows and an umbrella.  For shade…and a nap!

Peanut butter and jelly tastes good on a biscuit. Have you tried it?

Have you added a wind spinner to your yard/garden? They’re great and fairly inexpensive, and oh so fun to watch when the wind blows.

Do you have a bunch of tiny jelly jars or old antique dessert cups in your cabinet or garage?  They’re great for ice cream sundae toppings for an ice cream bar! Or for dips or olives or nuts on a charcuterie tray!

You know those little organizer bins with a handle for the bathroom?  Turn it on its side, get some tiny animals from Michaels, and you’ve got a zoo to play with, for the kiddos!

Next time you make cornbread, dollop your mix in a mini muffin tin.  You’ll have 12 little muffins to place a slit of butter inside, and top on your chili or soup!

Greek Spanakopita from Trader Joe’s in the frozen section is SO delicious.  A must try!

There are fake hanging plants that look pretty darn real and profuse that might be an idea for your summer heat coming soon…on your patios! Or in your pots!

Tilly’s has the cutest charm necklaces, a great summer accessory idea!

Next time you make a batch of homemade cookies, share them with a neighbor.  Place them in those little cardboard popcorn boxes and drop by to hand them over.

No hammock in your yard?  Well, why not? They’re a great place for conversations. And get the kind made out of quick dry material, so they dry out after a rain!

Marshalls and Ross have the cutest serving trays for food.  Check out the straw/tiered ones for summer.

Have you tried sliced dill pickles on your chef salad?  Do so, this season!

When’s the last time you blew bubbles of all sizes? It’s not just fun for kids! It’s fun for all.

Don’t like burning candles, but enjoy the scents?  Try a warming lamp.  Have you seen these?

Trader Joe’s cookie sticks – the Belgian dark chocolate ones – are an awesome snack for the theater.
