IN UNISON â—½ MARRIAGE

Chris and I were not brought up in households with biblical Christian values.

We are first-generation Christians navigating beliefs together in our marriage.

Establishing a foundation of faith in our marriage and for a future generation comes with courage & challenges to forge a new path as “Leading Pioneers.”
Sometimes, we easily ask God, “Why does it feel so challenging even though we're doing all the things… Attending church, reading scripture, and aiming for a well-raised next generation.

We often ask God, “Why is it us paving the way?”

We can easily feel uncertain about how to raise strong, capable, faith-filled sons.

Especially as we are still figuring out morals and values within our marriage constantly on this journey.
Though we face difficulty, friction, and exhaustion, we continue to experience joy, provision, and blessing as we remain consistent.
There is honor remaining fervent in faith, even when the path feels new and unfamiliar.
We want to do our best to connect with God and each other.
It is a gift to watch both our boys grow up in the church.
Noah, a worshiper & learner in Kids Church.
Nathan, his servanthood in Youth & Kids Church production.
It is a privilege to help shape, guide, and encourage our two sons.
A personal testimony close to our hearts came recently as we were persevering and continuing to move forward in faith.

One day, our son Nathan said to Chris, “Dad, I need to tell you something. I want to be baptized.” Chris was instantly filled with joyful tears; I was so pleased Nathan was embarking on his own faith journey!
We’ll continue to guide Nathan, but his faith journey is now ultimately his own.
If our marital union ever needed confirmation that what God entrusts to us will bear fruit, there it was!
Nathan attended a baptism class and was baptized the following Sunday.
Then a new rhythm of faith took root in our home!

It was a meaningful day that encouraged us to keep moving forward as “Leading Pioneers.”
This testimony shows the importance of inviting God to draw a family closer to Him and one another through love.
This testimony reflects the intentional choices and action required to focus on what matters most.
God will keep working through us as we forge a path—after all, we are “Leading Pioneers.”
