HOMESTEADING ◽ HOME

You know the saying, “When it rains it pours”?

What about the saying, “It’s feast or famine?”

I used to take those quotes negatively. Like once one bad thing happens, it feels like another and another. Or I need to work nonstop when I get the chance, and take every client or new gig because I don’t know when the famine will hit!

Currently, I feel like the rain has come and the feast has hit! It’s like all at once, all these crazy opportunities came to both Brian and me. Not negatively or in a way (of course) that we would have ever expected them, either! I asked Brian if he was maybe fasting more or doing something different, and he said no!

“I just gave it to God,” was his reply.

He said he would often get all worked up, and he then just got tired of doing that. Sometimes, I feel like that’s giving up and being like,“Ho hum, oh well, woe is me, nothing is going to go right.”

But I also think remaining steadfast in the Word, consistent in prayer and thankfulness and resting in His peace is an act of surrender to the Lord. He will work things out in His own time, not ours.

We rejoice for His mercies upon us!

It has been such a struggle for almost two years…and we are so ready for financial peace. And we are so beyond thankful for the blessings!

“My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him.”

Psalms 62:5 NKJV

“Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28 NKJV

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”

Psalms 51:10 NKJV

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”

Galatians 6:9 NKJV
