To Lago Vista and Back

We both had a Saturday we wanted to fill with fun, and we couldn't have been happier with the way it turned out. Lago Vista was our destination, and then we took our time coming back to town...

There was a peach festival happening in Lago Vista, and that was our focal point for the morning. But, of course, we stopped by the Texas Farmers Market at Bell, such a large one with so much good stuff! We had our cute farmers market bags in tow, too!

Lago Vista Brewing Company was hosting the peach festival, so their entire site was booths, and yes - one was buckets of peaches. It was crowded and hot, but we still bought a lot! I found some soup packages, the cutest tees for the kids, and we stood in line for our own peach haul. This place is a cool hangout, even if there's no festival going on.

Hungry for lunch, we found The Cedar Tree, a Mediterranean restaurant - and it did not disappoint. I chose the falafel platter, and she got a tasty chicken salad. It was a nice spot to stop and dine out of the heat.

We had searched the internet and found a few boutiques/shops in Lago Vista, and we stopped to check them out. The Wild Navy was a bit too cutesy...but I did find a scarf! It's upstairs in a strip center. The Beanstalk Consignment shop was a place to wander for a bit...I think my friend found a pair of socks! This was a cool vintage/antique/cute place. And the Oddinary Objects down the road - you'll want to browse the aisles for a while! I found an album for my granddaughter!

Cedar Park was our next stop...Ruby Keys Boutique...and Honey and Hay...both worth visiting! Ruby Keys has lots of pretty clothes and jewelry ( I got another scarf!) and Honey and Hay is the prettiest home goods store around!
All of that shopping, eating, and enjoying was the most fun time! Finally, we had scheduled ourselves a movie at the Round Rock Cinema, where we both ordered popcorn and an Icee - the best! We saw the movie Supergirl - it was entertaining - not the best - but we didn't care. We'd had the most fun day, and the air-conditioning and snacks made us both smile.
It's fun to just a pick a spot and go, and explore stops there and back...so fun. A little shopping, some good eating, and a movie with a friend. How much better can a day be?
