One Color – If you haven’t gone with a monochromatic look in a while, look and see if you have a top, a bag, and a bottom in the same color family but maybe different shades…and wear them all! I love green any time, any season…do you?
A Versatile Skirt – Old Navy has some great elastic waist skirts, and I love the khaki/light brown one for fall. It can be worn with light sweaters…and then chunky ones later…as the temps fall. You can wear open toes or a cute belt, and then add boots in October!
It’s September again and I can hardly believe it, and I am again wishing for cool temps but they just don’t arrive at my bidding. And yet, I hope every year that it will be different! But while we wait and the breezes do start to trend towards the new season, we can step out in something cute that makes us feel alive and hopeful.
A New Brand – Oxknit is a new brand of clothing to me, just in the past few months, and I love it so much. The sweaters and tops are unique and bold and great for fall. I have two of them and recommend them for sure! This bird one (pictured) is one of my faves!
Scarves – They made their appearance so strong this past spring and summer, so let’s keep wearing them! I recently found a vintage one I love, a magnetic scarf that is so fun, and then a larger retro-looking print I find goes with so much! Wear the scarf. It just makes one feel so elevated and happy…
Plaid – It’s in for the fall. Maybe you like it in a shirt, or a dress, but I love it in a coat! I found this one on clearance at Urban Outfitters, on line. It even pairs nicely with a striped tee. Who knew! I can’t wait to actually have a reason to wear it!
Chocolate Brown – I found the cutest suede bag in chocolate brown at Marshalls and I can carry it now, paired with a button up shirt (it has tiny sunflowers on it!) and a skinny long scarf called a Twilly. Grab some suede accessories in chocolate brown and enjoy them all season…on into winter.
