Family Gathering

We had family here for a week and needed a place to gather, and hang and then activities to do and enjoy. We found the cutest airbnb just within walking distance of downtown Round Rock, and it served as the best spot! It had a firepit out back and a semi circle sofa inside, and lots of space for all 16 of us as we came and went.

One morning we enjoyed Round Rock Donuts, and walked the downtown area. There are so many cute coffee shops like Waterloo (has a great upstairs area for kids), a Home Decor store, lots of eateries, and oh...Purely Provisions. It's the newest and best coffee shop around!

Another day we drove into Austin to the Mueller area to walk around the beautiful pond where ducks abound and beauty is grand. It was a perfect stroll for chatting and breezes. We also ventured to South Austin for Mexican food at an Austin iconic restaurant Matt's El Rancho. The patio is great for groups. We even stopped by some kitschy thrift stores on North Loop, Room Service in particular! And we grabbed great food at Easy Tiger in the Linc Shopping Center.

On Wednesday evening there is live music on the plaza in downtown Round Rock, so we got food and enjoyed jazz as the sun set, and we all relaxed together. Another night we caught a movie at Flix, just a few miles away. Great food there too!

When we were at the house, we gathered by the fire pit and laughed together and listened the kids chime in with their stories, too. We sat around inside and relaxed and snacked in this multi-level house we called home for a week.

One afternoon we walked around Georgetown and admired the square (one of the prettiest around) and got ice cream, and visited my favorite store Rough and Ready.

The final day, we met at Old Settlers Park Lakeview Pavilion and had Cracker Barrel delivered (family packs!) That place is just perfect for families, for walks around the lake, and the best views. Oh, and the Adirondack chairs are awesome!

We couldn't have a picked a better location or fun to be had...for a week with family.
